Twilight

Just got back from my first girls' night...i mean, day out for I don't know how long. The last time I've been this happy was when I watched the first Harry Potter movie with one of my best friends and fellow Potter freak.

The plan changed a little: we watched Bolt first, then had lunch before watching Twilight. Well, Bolt was quite a nice surprise. It's a typical Disney movie, all touchy-feely and happy ending, but there are quite a few moments where I almost shed my tear. Not because of anything but because I love cats and dogs and stories of animals deserted by their masters are enough to make me bawl. Anyway, the theatre was quite deserted...most people seem to choose Twilight. And I was right: the show was quite packed. Most of them are teens, and I'm lucky that I look younger than my age or I would've been quite embarrassed. But I always love forbidden love stories, and despite the fact that the first half of the film is quite boring, that some scenes didn't live up to the book version and that Kristen Stewart is sometimes annoying as Bella, the second half of the film got me totally hooked. Maybe because it has more action, or maybe because I haven't read the second half of the book, but it's definitely more lively. And Robert Pattinson alone almost worths it. At first I didn't think he's otherworldly enough as Edward (and his voice isn't as musical either), but in the baseball game and especially in the Prom scene, he's drop-dead gorgeous. I almost forgot that he was only Cedric Diggory in the fourth Harry Potter movie three years ago.

To top it all, my friend drove me home and told me some gossip she heard at work (as if all our gossiping at work hadn't been enough!) which made me feel better. So all in all it's been a very exciting day, my most exciting after some time.

Now i'm going to email my friend to tell her to forward me the pdf version of Breaking Dawn and read the novel again.
